The next big thing in leadership?
The Next Big Thing in Leadership
Is you.
That's right*|IF:FNAME|* , you.*|ELSE:|* You.*|END:IF|*
I believe that everyone has the capability to lead in one way or another. Some may be able to lead large groups of people towards transformation, others a small team towards a great outcome, some may require more coaching or encouragement and some will lead with vision whilst others lead with expertise.
But leadership is also a choice; everyone can choose to lead, or not and everyone can choose to learn to lead more effectively, or not.
Fundamentally leadership comes down to the combination of two things; habits and mindset. Consistency and predictability with both of these will shape who you are as a leader.
What you do everyday as a leader is much more powerful than what you remember to do once in a while.
Over the next few weeks I'm excited to share insights and resources with you from a new project I'm working on; a practical guide to help new leaders develop both the habits and mindsets required to achieve success in their first 12 weeks in a new leadership role.
My first sneaky tip is this:
Think of your daily leadership tasks like a checklist; what 1-3 things, if you did them everyday, would make the biggest difference to you and/or your team?
So the question that remains is...
Are you the next big thing in leadership to your team?
"One of the most important actions, things a leader can do, is to lead by example. If you want everyone else to be passionate, committed, dedicated, and motivated, you go first."
